Pleated Fan

This is a Pleated fan. It is dated 1775–1785. Its medium is painted and gilded silk gauze leaf with applied metallic spangles; carved ivory sticks with metallic foil and spangles; glass stone at the rivet. It is a part of the Textiles department.
