Fragment (Italy)

This is a Fragment. It is dated 1401–25 and we acquired it in 1902. Its medium is silk, metallic and its technique is cut supplementary warp loops in 4&1 satin foundation with brocaded wefts bound in 2/1 twill by supplementary warps. It is a part of the Textiles department.
