This is a Pleated fan. It is dated late 19th–early 20th century and we acquired it in 1916. Its medium is silk gauze leaf embroidered in satin stitch and applied silk, silk net, spangles, and a painted medallion; ivory sticks piquéd with steel, pierced steel guards. It is a part of the Textiles department.
