Curtain Loop Ornament Or Valance Mount (USA)

This is a Curtain loop ornament or valance mount. It is dated ca. 1830–50 and we acquired it in 1916. Its medium is gilded copper and remnants of textile. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Eleanor Garnier Hewitt and Sarah Cooper Hewitt. It is credited Gift of Eleanor and Sarah Hewitt.
