Bag (USA)

This is a Bag. It is dated 1800–1850 and we acquired it in 1916. Its medium is silk, birch bark, grass stems and its technique is painted silk plain weave; birch bark embroidered with stem, satin and knot stitches using dyed grass stems. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. William P. Treadwell. It is credited Gift of Mrs. William P. Treadwell.
