This is a Pair of waiters. It was made by Baldwin Gardiner. It is dated 1810–20 and we acquired it in 1926. Its medium is silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 4.7 x 21.2 x 17 cm (1 7/8 x 8 3/8 x 6 11/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside: "B. Gardiner" (Baldwin Gardiner, Philadelphia (1810-20)) and three pseudo hallmarks: head, "G", and lion passant (walking right). in rectangular reserves. (a) marked "B . GARDINER"; (b) marked "EB . GARDINER"
