This is a portrait medallion. It was manufactured by Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory and subject: Napoleon Bonaparte. It is dated 1865 and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is hard paste biscuit, gold, metal. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Sarah Cooper Hewitt. It is credited Bequest of Sarah Cooper Hewitt.

Reverse: [1] "S.65" within pill-shaped mark, stamped in green [2] "h B" (?), incised [3] marks written in pencil (illegible)
