What is this?

Repeating paper probably used for a border. Bamboo trellis, diagonal bamboo strips forming squares some of which are crossed with smaller strips of bamboo. Printed on pale blue ground.

This is a sidewall from United Kingdom. It is dated 1813–23 and we acquired it in 1950. Gift of Brighton Art Gallery and Museum. This object is currently resting in our storage facility ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
