Print, Whale Hunt by the Emperor Claudius in the harbour at Ostia, pl. 19 in the Venationes Ferarum, Avium, Piscium series

This is a Print. It was engraved by Adriaen Collaert and Philips Galle and after Jan van der Straet, called Stradanus. It is dated 1596 or after and we acquired it in 1952. Its medium is engraving on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This object was donated by Mrs. A. W. Erickson. It is credited Gift of Mrs. A. W. Erickson.
