Sample (Germany)

This is a Sample. It is dated 1960 and we acquired it in 1960. Its medium is nylon, "dofie dyed" and fastened to sponge rubber. It is a part of the Textiles department.

Side view of a sponge on a wand. The sponge is yellow and porous and has a red ribbon handle on top. The sponge connects to a wand that is long and thin. The third of the want closest to the sponge is thinnest and grey. The other two thirds are teal. The middle third has slight bumps. The third furthest from the end bends down and forms a loop big enough for a person’s fingers to fit through. The tip of the wand has a small hole that is even with the loop.
