This is a Fragment of a bag. It is dated 100 BC–1000 AD and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is wool and its technique is tapestry) dove-tailed, use of non-horizontal weft; diagonal flat interlacing; braiding–4-strand; sides stitched together to form bag; warp ends covered by stitching forming opening; diagonal flat interlacing; braiding 4-strand. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor in memory of Alexander M. Bing.
