Goblet Goblet

This is a goblet. It is dated 1760–80 and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is glass, blown with opaque white twist stem. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Paul Franken. It is credited Gift of Paul Franken.

20 x 10 cm (7 7/8 x 3 15/16 in.)

It is inscribed

Handwritten label under base: "This glass was given to his friend, Judge Joseph North of Augusta Maine by Benjamin Franklin about the year 1787 or 88." (Label removed by K. Bachmann 6/85. Now held in Object File.)
