Chintz Fragments (India), 18th century

This is a Chintz fragments. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1973. Its medium is cotton and its technique is mordant painted and dyed; blue applied by brush over resist; yellow applied by brush; chintz on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
