Fragments (probably India)

This is a Fragments. It is dated mid–late 18th century and we acquired it in 1973. Its medium is cotton and its technique is mordant painted and dyed and resists dyed (chintz) on plain weave (black outline printed; reds, purples and blues filled in by brush). It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Josephine Howell. It is credited Gift of Josephine Howell.
