Fragments

This is a Fragments. It is dated 1700–1708 and we acquired it in 1975. Its medium is silk, metallic and its technique is damassé foundation fabric (8-harness satin plus plain weave) plus discontinuous supplementary wefts bound on the front in 1/3 twill by the foundation warp. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Arthur J. Cohen. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Arthur J. Cohen.
