Sarong (Thailand)

This is a Sarong. It is dated 20th century and we acquired it in 1976. Its medium is cotton and its technique is plain weave; mordant printing and painting, resist printing and direct application of dye using blocks for red, blue and purple; yellow possibly applied by brush. It is a part of the Textiles department.
