Sampler (USA)

This is a Sampler. It was made by Scuola d'Industrie Italiane and embroidered by Miss Francesca Amari. It is dated early 20th century and we acquired it in 1942. Its medium is linen and its technique is grape, satin, hem and overcasting stitches on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
