Embroidered Picture (England)

This is a Embroidered picture. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk, metal, glass beads, pearls, hair, and cotton and its technique is embroidered in couching,stem, chain, and feather stitches with applique of knitted, woven fabric and needle-made lace on 7/1 satin foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
