Table Cover (Switzerland), 20th century

This is a Table cover. It is dated 20th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is cotton and its technique is embroidered in satin, running, couching, overcasting, and knot stitches with witdrawn element work with overcasting and inserts of needlemade lace on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer and catalogued by Susan J. Brown. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.
