Barrel-shaped body tapering at neck, shaped lip with pouring spout, loop handle; cut around center with band of large printies enclosing faceted diamonds, around neck with hollow faceting, around base with short verticalfluting; ground pontil mark bottom.

This jug is glass. Its dimensions are: 19.8 x 16 x 11 cm (7 13/16 x 6 5/16 x 4 5/16 in.).

This jug is from Ireland and dated ca. 1815–18.

Bequest of Walter Phelps Warren. Its provenance is Mr. Dudley Westropp, Dublin; Louis Wine, Ltd., Dublin; 1959 WPW We acquired this object in 1986.
