Cake Plate (Germany), 1928–30

This is a Cake Plate. It was attributed to Eva Zeisel and made by Schramberger Majolikafabrik. It is dated 1928–30 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 1.9 x 16.9 cm (3/4 x 6 5/8 in.)

It has the following markings

On bottom of plate, in black, a shield-shape containing initials: "SMF"; below: "SCHRAMBERG" and "81(?)".
