Sampler (Mexico)

This is a Sampler. It is dated ca. 1880 and we acquired it in 2003. Its medium is wool embroidery on cotton foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross and counted satin stitches with open work on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
