Plate Plate

This is a plate. It was manufactured by Copeland & Garrett, Josiah Spode and Spode Ceramic Works. It is dated 1821–1833 and we acquired it in 1959. Its medium is hard paste porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Emily H. Chauncey. It is credited Bequest of Emily H. Chauncey.

Underside: [1] "Spode" above "Felspar / Porcelain" within floral wreath, printed in purple overglaze (manufactury mark)
