Drawing, Design for "Triad" Chair

This is a Drawing. It was designed by Wendell Castle. It is dated 2007 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is marking pen on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This presentation drawing relates to Wendell Castle’s Triad Chair prototype (2006) held in the museum’s collection. According to the Castle, the drawing was made to show the dealer what the chair would look like prior to its limited edition production. The acquisition of this piece would fortify interdepartmental connections while adding to our understanding of Castle's design process.

This object was donated by Wendell Castle and Friedman Benda Gallery. It is credited Gift of Friedman Benda and Wendell Castle.
