Model, Amant

This is a model. It was designed by SO-IL, Ilias Papageorgiou, Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu and fabricated by Pietro Pagliaro and Hélène Denise and design team member: Kevin Lamyuktseung and Ted Baab.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from SO-IL as part of Beauty—Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.

It is dated 2015. Its medium is plaster, brass frame.

The Amant private gallery features geometric forms that are juxtaposed and then punctuated by bands of light to create spaces that are simple and ethereal. These spaces flow effortlessly and make an overall environment that allows for organic transitions from one interior space to another. The planes created for use as gallery walls are both functional and richly articulated.

It is credited Courtesy of SO – IL.
