A pear wood and leather art nouveau high backed side chair from the dining room of the Hotel Guimard. This chair is designed with a pear wood high curved backpanel that rounds off at its ends with irregular open shaped “handles” that maintain an abstracted motif that reference the movements and processes of nature. The handles are embellshed with tiny arabesque carvings. Below the wooden panel is a an attenuated pear like shaped designed leather upholstered back which is outlined in brass beading in oval and rounded shapes. On either side are slightly open slats that attach to the back of the seat. The seat is leather and also surrounded with brass beading at the edging. There is a small curved wooden apron and the legs are splay out and end with feet that are adorned with vegetal designs. The seat is of a mustard brown color and it shows much wear. This chair was part of a room that was designed in a most comprehensive expression of art nouveau.

A black cast-iron balcony railing with two symmetrical, ornamental panels. Two sinuous, curving bars of iron drop down from the center top of each panel and curve into a looping, oblong design towards the bottom, joined by two additional curving bars that snake towards the center bottom from each side of each panel.

A sculptural picture frame manifests the quinessential design of Art Nouveau in its structure. At the top of the metal frame sits a small mound or bead where flowing graceful lines meet. The lines of metal clasp above the mound then flow into waves that flutter and tiny mounds abound on the upper sides of the frame. Their path continues down to the halfway point of the sides encountering a cluster of wavy curling forms and tiny beads. Both sides morph into delicate elongated ovoids with negative inner space. They meet at the u-shaped bottom decorated with symmetrical wavy carvings in the base where a triangular form rests in the center. The bottom has positive space unlike the sides. As our eye returns to the top we see another line is attached under the mound to form amorphic openings with the sides. The inner area for the photograph possesses an unusual shape that follows the outer form of the frame and resembles the top of a human tongue. Elegant silk velvet is applied to the space between all sides and the photo and glass.

A silk chiffon textile with a repeating motif of gestural curving lines creating the illusion of movement. The designs expand across the top of the piece then align left of center across the right side of the textile. The lines create openings for floral designs focusing on the stamen, petals and ovule of the anatomy. All imagery is embroidered in a variety of processes that illuminate the delicacy of the design. The lines continue downward creating arches. Negative space is present left of center for most of the surface area.

An ornate and abstracted floral and petal designed brass and gold door pull. A high central flurry of ringlets and abstract florets sit atop a concaved central plane which is embellished with minute swirls of abstracted whirls and curls and which are layered with abstracted foliage carvings. The edges of the central panel scroll out like a petal of a flower but it is abstracted and asymetrical. The tightly swirled and ringlet bud like forms fall within the layered planes of the concave central panel. Projecting from this panel are abstracted, tightly curled and linear forms that appear to pass through other abstracted sections of more bud like forms and that finally root into the panel of its base. Although made of brass and gold its formations appear as malleable as clay. The work is inspired by nature and it is Art Nouveau.

A short creamy beige-colored silk curtain, embroidered in silk of the same shade. The curtain is rectangular except for a curved upper right corner; small brass rings are fitted along the top edge into the curve. The elegant embroidery stretches inside the sides and top of the curtain: long thin lines of attenuated design, vaguely like long curving blades of grass in the heavier upper sections. Parts of the design are worked around small inserted pieces of netting, allowing the white background to show through.

A drawing of an elevation view of the facade of a narrow apartment building rendered in graphite on yellowed tracing paper. Across the top of the paper the designer/architect identifies the name of the project in a stylized angular typeface. No. 7 is written on the upper right side connoting the 7th iteration of the design, hence the need of tracing paper. An enclosed letter 'C' in a circle is notated on the upper left side. The left and right edges of the paper are cut unevenly and increase in width to accomodate the length of the title, written in pen and black ink, which is wider than the width of the building. The cut paper resembles the characteristics of a Doric column from Greek architecture. The facade is divided into four materials. Unadorned sheets of material are drawn on the building's facade from the ground level to the first floor windows. The entrance door is centered with a wide arch made of three rows of brick located above the door. To the right of the door lies a window that reaches to the the height of half the door with two panes of glass and an arched top edge. The apartments begin on the first floor where rough stone is indicated until the middle of the second floor. Elongated horizontal parallel planks are suggested from the second floor until the seventh. While the facade material on the eighth floor reverts back to the unadorned material used on the ground floor. The facade is divided into four columns with a different style of window in each column. The design in the first column on the left employs side by side design of a narrow vertical rectangular shape. In the center column the windows are original designs and have the graceful diagonal movement displayed in Art Nouveau. The two elongated rectangular windows are placed where the one on the left is lower than the right. There are two smaller windows of an organic shape atop each rectangle. The window shapes resemble lipstick cylindars at different stages of use. The arches composed of three rows of brick that gradually stretches to the right following the edge of the rise of the window's height. The apex of the arch is above the window on the right so the end of the arch floats into the facade. There is a modified version of the window on the eighth floor. The design possesses the center of the first design and the heights are the same. The designer gives a nod to Greek architecture by the use of a pediment above the window. To the right is another window with a side by side window design. The next column of windows are the same design as seen in the central column however in between the two windows are the side by side rectangular design that we find in the first column. The arch becomes more dramatic because of it's elongated stretch across four windows. The fourth column of windows are one small narrow rectangle that is wedged between the third column of windows and the edge of the building's facade. Finally the roof is flat and bears a fence of narrow posts.
