Land guided the company to become a leader in polarizing technology, which it applied to a variety of products from glare-reducing goggles to night vision devices and cameras for the military and the private sector. An instant camera stands opened from its collapsible form. Opened, it is triangular and tent-shaped, brown leather surface, expanding black leather sides to open the body and the viewfinder, with chrome silver frame and front plate with circular lens, circular flash, red, circular shutter button and adjustable exposure ring and focus ring at the top. Because of its collapsible shape, while sitting the front lens plate is pointed downward, and directly underneath it is a supported folding wall that says Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera. At the top of the triangular shape, the viewfinder extends diagonally upward on top of the tent, creating its own tent-like appendage of its own.
