Suter is a Swiss fiber artist who works in 3D. She uses needle and thread to pleat and tuck the fabric, then she moves on to the wetting and agitation process using a thin plastic strip that is stitched in place. Once shrinkage occurs, the area in the plastic strip felts only to itself, creating a highly dimensional piece.
