Drawing, Seven Studies of Abstract Nudes, 1939–1950

We have 2 images of Drawing, Seven Studies of Abstract Nudes, 1939–1950 .

Seven studies of abstract figures, rendered in a cubist manner. At bottom left, a seated nude with right hand raised above the head, and left hand crossed in front of the body to grasp the figure’s right breast. The figure’s legs splay out to either side, and is wearing black high heel shoes. The figure is shaded in brown. To the right, a second, similarly rendered figure depicted in black line with a rectangle superimposed over the torsos. Between the two seated nudes, a study of just the figure’s head shaded in greens and bounded by a rectangular frame. At far right, a disembodied torso with one black breast (at left) and one tan breast (at right). Across the top of the page, two abstracted standing figures in left profile, and a third abstract composition.
