Tray Tray, 1900

This is a tray. It was designed by Roelof Sterken and manufactured by Rozenburg Pottery and Porcelain Factory. It is dated 1900 and we acquired it in 1992. Its medium is porcelain, vitreous enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mr. Justin G. Schiller. It is credited Gift of Justin G. Schiller.

It has the following markings

On underside of platter: [1] an image of a stork with one leg raised with "Rozenburg" above and "den Haag" below, stamped in green ink (factory mark; 1900) [2] an image of a bee, painted in black (date mark; 1900) [3] "492", painted in black (inventory number) [4] "RS." underlined twice, painted in black (painter's mark)
