Ashtray (Germany)

This is a ashtray. It was made by Schramberger Majolikafabrik. It is dated 1920–40 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Victor Wiener. It is credited Gift of Victor Wiener.

Its dimensions are

height 3.8, diameter 14.7 centimeters

It has the following markings

On bottom of tray, in black, the number "10" and initials SMF contained in a rounded shield-shape surrounded by words "HANDPAINTED" and "GERMANY". Also, impressed number "2475(?)".
