Bottle-Shaped Vase (One of a Pair) Vase

This is a vase. It was attributed to Christopher Dresser and possibly by Minton's Art Pottery Studio and manufactured by Minton's Art Pottery Studio and Minton Ceramics Manufactory. It is dated 1870s and we acquired it in 1998. Its medium is porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Museum purchase from Charles E. Sampson Memorial Fund.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 24.8 × 12.4 cm (9 3/4 × 4 7/8 in.)

It has the following markings

Underside: [1] "MINTON", impressed [2] "1341", impressed [3] crossed circle, impressed underglaze [4] "C", impressed underglaze [5] "U", impressed underglaze [6] a flag with two pointed peaks, impressed underglaze
