Alexander Taylor was born in 1975 in County Durham, England. He studied furniture and product design at Nottingham Trent University, and started his career in the London architectural firm Procter:Rihi. He opened his own studio in 2002 and has designed furniture and lighting for several European design manufacturers including Zanotta, Established & Sons, and ClassiCon.Taylor has also created private commissions for clients including fashion designer Alexander McQueen, and products for English home accessories producer-distributor Thorsten van Elten, Hitch Mylius, and Japanese manufacturer E&Y.
