Figure of a grotesque goose in surrealist style, its feathers composed of strips of fur and a human foot in the place of its head. At its feet lies a Victorian-style lace-up boot that ends in the form of a goose's head with open beak, echoing the foot form above. Landscape indicated by a curving shaded line in the background. In a domestic exterior, figure of a woman stands on a porch overlooking surrounding gardens and ocean. She is feeding a plumed bird and wears a wide-brimmed sun hat with yellow flowers and blue sash and a pale blue patterned dress with ruffled cuffs and collar. Like her hat, her dress has blue sashes which cinch the voluminous fabric under the bust, at the hips, and again at the knees.

Plate I of the book, Très Admirable Bestiaire Fantastique (Very Admirable Fantastic Bestiary). Hybrid figure of a cow and whale at center, with a cow body, legs, and hooves, but with a neck ending in the tail of a whale. If viewed from the perspective of the back of the cow (at right) forming the head of the creature, the creature more closely resembles the silhouette of a whale with attached backwards-facing cow's legs and feet. On top of the creature sits a hunched, bald male figure with skinny limbs and pointed toes holding a fishing pole in the form of a long curving stick with attached line and bobber, the line ending behind the creature to create the illusion that the man riding it may have caught it. Landscape indicated by a curving shaded line in the background. Beyond the horizon, part of a face and hands of a grosteque creature with long pointed antennae or hair.
