Horizontal sheet tipped vertically into binding. Ornamental railing with faceted, tapered newel post ending in a ball finial. The railing consists of two levels of scrolling ornament with joints highlighted in golden yellow. The scrollwork of the upper section terminates in small flowers, also in golden yellow. The lower section consists of confronted scrolls joined by a flame-like central element. In the field above and to the right of the railing are three small flowers or quatrefoils and the flame-like element drawn in greater detail. Each is numbered I through IV, and correspond to decorative elements in the railing also noted numbers I through IV.

Horizontal sheet tipped vertically into binding depicting an elaborate black ironwork railing, as the artist notes, is from an altar. At left the railing begins with a thick square post decorated with very small gold quatrefoils (possibly blind?), and terminates in a tall post that emerges from what the artist calls a "sort of serpents head," and is capped by a ball finial. The decorative frieze of the railing adjacent to the post is in the shape of repeated figure 8, which trails into a single rod of metal that makes large scrolls (according to the artist's notation, this is "12 in". The scrolls regularly terminate in the head of either a dolphin or a parrot. The scrollwork meets what is likely the center of the railing where the letters IHS painted golden yellow are inscribed in two confronted scrolls that create the shape of a heart. Beyond this the scrollwork is only rendered faintly with watercolor to indicate the railing's continuation. Below this are two sets of ironwork of the same pattern, a heart shape similar to that in the section of railing above, although only scrolling and foliate elements highlighted in gold are contained therein.

Vertical sheet depicting a doorway with an iron gate framed by ashlar masonry with an open transom above filled with elaborately interlocking and scrolling ironwork. The ironwork of both the transom and the gate are magnified in detail in two sketches below.

Vertical sheets with two drawings. In the center is an elaborately pierced iron lamp, like a basket, suspended from two chains made of s-shaped links that hang from a delicate leafy bracket. Above is a pilaster drawn so that its orientation on the page is horizontal. It is rendered in graphite without any wash, perhaps to indicate the material was marble. The pilaster has a panel of vase-like and leafy ornament, with an elaborate capital above.

A small, detailed drawing of one of the flowers is positioned to the upper right of the drawing of the railing and is noted as I, which corresponds to a small flower in the railing that is rendered less clearly.

Vertical sheet depicting two gargoyles: one is depicted from both the front and side, while the other below is only shown from the side. Each is mounted at a ninety-degree angle to an elaborate scrolling metal bracket. The bracket and gargoyles have been tinted green, as if to imply a painted or patinated copper surface.

Horizontal sheet cut down from a larger size, with pinholes at the top corners. Depicted is the statue of a lion seated on a large pedestal seen from the side. The pedestal consists of a thick cornice supported by two inverted pillars (like balusters) at either corner. In the center is a panel with a fleur-de-lys in a wreath and festoons of ribbons coming out from all four corners of the wreath. Other sketches on the sheet depict various details of the ornament on the pedestal, with inscriptions identifying them (clockwise from top left): cornice, architrave moulding, shield, column, pillars, fleur de lys, part of wreath, shields and festoon. These are all tinted cream to pale beige, as if to imply marble. The lion is a soft gray-green, implying either a patinated metal or stone surface.

Vertical sheet with pinhole at bottom left and right corner missing. Depicted is the elevation of an architrave supported by a pilaster and paneling on a raised plinth. This is drawn so that the architrave and top of the pilaster are at the top and left side of the sheet, while the bottom half of the pilaster, the paneling, and plinth are drawn to the right. The details of the architrave moldings have only been rendered at the left corner, but the architrave frieze of winged cherubs alternating with torches has been completed across the sheet. The frieze has a royal blue ground while the torches are bright yellow. The frieze ends in a crowned yellow star. The Corinthian pilaster is decorated with a festoon of greenery suspended from a yellow ring at the top of the shaft. This ornamental festoon continues on the bottom half of the pilaster. Only the left side of the plinth and the paneling are drawn. The paneling appears to alternate a light marble or stone pilaster with a decorated motif - a shield or coat of arms as is illustrated here in green, yellow, and blue. The use of color indicates the actual medium of the pilaster and architrave might be majolica or faience typical of Italian Renaissance-period decoration.

Vertical sheet with four sketches of lighting implements. At the top left and right are two torch bearers. The one at left in the form of griffin with the head of a classical goddess which holds in her mouth a short flange that ends in a large round bobeche. The one at right is a similar form, but instead is a horned dragon with its spiny wing extended, and it holds a different bobeche in its mouth. Below center is a large iron lamp in the form of a small building. Three columns support an entablature from which three very large curved spikes rise from the corners. The two sides that are visible have a double lancet opening and panels below. To the right of this drawing is the bracket that supports the lamp, decorated with a lion, banner, modillions, and rosettes. The drawings are all tinted a pinkish-gray.

Vertical sheet with four sketches of architectural elements. At top left is a faucet in the shape of a winged bird. At right is the section of a door from the church of St. Anastasia. The door is composed of rows of small tri-lobed arches, possibly painted white, and decorated by nailheads. Below this at right is another wood door from St. Anastasia also with a creamy-white finish. This door is ornamented by rows of carved quatrefoils with a border of half-rosettes and a diamond pattern. Dark gray nailheads stand out in contrast. At lower left is a section of an iron railing consisting of joined quatrefoils.

Vertical sheet with three sketches. At upper left is a basin with four pieces of twisted ironwork rising above it. These curve up and on each other, twist together, and then separate again into two lily blossoms and a third unopened blossom at the top. Attached to the twisted section at the top is a letter S. To the right and below are sketches of roundels or tondi depicting figures against a segmented blue ground. The one at top right is wearing a brown wrap that is bound with white cloth or ribbon. Below this is another roundel or tondo of similar configuration, but the wrap is teal blue. Both of these figures have their arms outstretched. The figure in the roundel below left only has one arm outstretched and the reddish-orange wrap is instead around the figure's feet and lower legs.

One quadrant of a sunburst is depicted with green, pink, and yellow wavy rays emanating from the center. To the left of this is graphite version of the entire motif, like a pinwheel with alternating shaded arms. Below this is a railing section with vertical members filled with squares of scrolling ironwork.

Vertical sheet with numerous sketches of architectural elements. Clockwise from bottom left: a dormer with ogee-shaped roof, gutter, and small gargoyle spout at the corner. This same spout is drawn to the left. Above this is a horizontal fountain spout in the shape of a man blowing into a pipe. In the top half of the sheet are three sketches: below left is a window made of five round-arched lancets that graduate in size. The window is flanked by louvered shutters. Above is the arched top of a doorway filled with greyish black scrolling ironwork. At right is a dormer with a tiled roof that cantilevers far over the window opening below it. The cantilever is supported by ogee brackets on either side of the window.
