Blue and white coverlet with a central field of close-set horizontal and vertical repeats of flat, stylized groups of large-scale roses and leaves with rosettes in the interspaces. Bottom border with double-headed eagles alternating with Independence Hall; scattered stars of three-lobed leaves. Inscription at left end: "American Independence Declared July 4, 1776." Borders on both sides with spread eagle alternating with monkeys and double column.

Large complete coverlet in navy blue wool and white cotton with two central wreaths enclosing an eight-pointed star. Surrounding these are an array of floral and bird motifs including eagles with wings spread and clutching banners, scrolling acanthus leaves, a small building with cupola, and pairs of reindeer. Date on coverlet appears to read 1855.

Patchwork quilt top made of six broad whole-cloth strips and five narrow patchwork strips. The patchwork strips are made up of small square and triangular pieces in tans, browns, and dark blue. The strips on the two outer edges have a very distinctive leaf pattern on a lattice ground in off-white on brown, while the whole-cloth strips in the center are a small-scale floral in blue and tan on a brown ground.

Bedspread with a pattern of eight-sided (laterally and longitudinally symmetrical, but not radically symmetrical) geometric shapes alternating in rows, enclose whimsical signs of the zodiac in vivid yellow, pink, aqua, orange, puple, green, and brown on a background of dark blue. Zodiac signs are labled in white letters beneath each sign. Zodiac signs repeated within one maximum repeat which covers entire width of spread and approximately one half of the length. Repeats are placed directly above each other.

Knitted hanging of eight knitted rectangles with crocheted edges, crocheted together. Outer edges crocheted to a linen backing; central motif of each rectangle: mermaid with fish. Four different poses, each repeated twice. Four rectangles in beige, olive-green, dark brown and cerise. Other four rectangles in light blue, light green and beige. Each rectangle: 12” x 23”.

Small pieces of printed cotton in various colors patched to form a star medallion with scalloped outer edge. Each medallion set in white cotton about eighteen inches square. Twenty-five squares, each five by five inches, joined in a grid of strips of printed cotton, predominantly green. The center of each medallion plain white and several have handwritten inscriptions:

"Our mother / The First to Cherish / The last to desert us. / Wm D. Jones / Frances L. Jones / May 11, 1845."

"Made by Our Mother / Lacy Jones/ for / I.S. and M.P. Jones / 1845 / in her 64th year."

"Our Parents / May the Evening of their / lives be as the morning sun / I.P. and M.E. Jones."
