This cotton textile has a rectangular blue frame surrounding varying angled geometric shapes and patterns. All seemingly random and placed on top or harmoniously to their neighboring lines, these shapes are all straight but range from triangles placed within rectangles, zigzags, arrows, and straight diagonal lines. Small triangles split in half become adjacent to zig zags, the zig zags appear as if they're placed in front of rectangles, creating even more triangles and asymmetrical blocks. The one thing in common is that no shape of the same color touches. The shapes are either black, orange, turquoise, teal, mint green, white, or light blue.

This is a Coverlet, "Electric" Pattern. It was designed by Ruth Reeves and retailed by W. and J. Sloane. Its medium is cotton.

Reeves’s electric pattern exhibited by W. & J. Sloane in 1930, combines influences of Cubism from her studies in Paris with the impact and energy of electric waves. This length was made into a coverlet for the bed that Reeves designed for the Long Beach, Long Island, house of Louise and Glendon Allvine, who also acquired a screen by Donald Deskey.

A standing, three-paneled painted, wood-framed folding screen in redwood and black lacquer, depicting the craggy triangles and shadows of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Somewhat shallow in perspective, the top of the piece shows the flat buttes of the opposite side of the canyon. A turquoise blue, horizontal band represents a thin image of the sky. The depiction of the landscape evokes the sensation of a bright, sunny day; scenery is abstract with modernist influences.
