Drawing, Exhibitionist

This is a drawing. It was designed by Edward McKnight Kauffer. It is dated 1930–1938 and we acquired it in 1963. Its medium is pen and black ink on off-white paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

Although graphic designer E. McKnight Kauffer is primarily known for his innovative advertising posters, he also produced many drawings for publications and other projects. In this example, a voluptuous nude turns away from the viewer, arousing further curiosity about her figure.

This object was donated by Mrs. Edward McKnight Kauffer. It is credited Gift of Mrs. E. McKnight Kauffer.
