On the Dot Kitchen Timer Timer

This is a timer. It was designed by Morison S. Cousins and manufactured by Tupperware Corporation. It is dated designed 1993, manufactured 1995 and we acquired it in 1996. Its medium is plastic, metal. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

The On the Dot kitchen timer has a conical body balanced by a lozenge-shaped foot on one side and a small purple spherical foot on the other. A practical yet quirky kitchen accessory, the product is composed of pure, simple geometric forms, right down to its semi-circular dial. When Morison S. Cousins became Vice President of Design at the Tupperware Corporation in 1990, he updated the look of their product range, bringing a contemporary appearance to the popular plastic food containers.

This object was donated by Morison S. Cousins. It is credited Gift of Tupperware and Morison S. Cousins.
