Vase
This is a vase.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Anonymous as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.
Geometric patterning found its way into all forms of design in the 1920s, including the works of enamel artist Jean Dunand. This vase of about 1925 displays floating panels of contrasting enamel with painterly effect.
It is credited Private Collection.
