Industrial designer. Received Master of Design from Royal College of Art, London in 1983. Designed for Knoll, Paris, and frogdesign, Altenstag (Germany), and Atelier de Nimes with Philippe Starck and Jean Nouvel. In 1990 set up his own design firm, Studio X, in London, whose clients have included Sony, British Airways, Kartell, Cappellini, Phillips, Moroso, Apple, Luceplan, Tag Heuer, and Herman Miller.
