Frances Bendixson
Frances Bendixson is best known for her beaded tiaras that can be converted into necklaces or chokers. She studied art history at Smith College and later worked in art publications and interior decoration. In 1960, Bendixson moved to London. After learning metalworking techniques under teacher Marian Watson in 1973, she opened her own studio, where she focused on jewelry using semi-precious beads threaded on silver and gold wire. She produces rich textural effects by hand-manipulating and threading the beads.
