Born in Dresden 9 February 1932. Education: Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Desden 1952-57, Staatlcihe Kunstakademdie under Karl-Otto-Gotz, 1961-64. Scenary painter for Stadttheater and commercial artists for several firms. Professor at Staatliche Kunstakademdie, Dusseldorf 1971 Recipient: Kunstpreis Junger Westen, Recklinghausen 1967; Arnold Bode Prize, Kassel, 1982 Other exhibitions in 1967: Wide, White, Space Gallery, Antwerp Richter has no recognized style since his development has followed no clear rules that can be analyzed in terms of formal development.
