Born in Potsdam, Germany on 2 September 1934. Education: Photography at Potsdam; painting at Staatlichen Kunstakademie, Düsseldorf. Married to Bernhard Becher in 1961. Worked together as freelance photographic artist concentrating on industrial photography in Düsseldorf since 1959. Instructors in photography at Staatlichen Kunstakademie, Düsseldorf. Recipient: British Council Photo Study Grant 1966; Fritz-Thyssen-Stiftung Grant, West Germany 1967-68
