Anzolo Fuga
Anzolo Fuga was born in Murano, Italy in 1914. From an early age, Fuga was exposed to the world of glass blowing through his father, who was the director of a glass house that specialized in making French crystal. Fuga began his formal training in art at the Istituto Statale d’Arte di Venezia, where he studied illustration, graphic design, and watercolors. In 1947, Fuga opened a glass atelier with his brother that focused on the handmade production of both art glass and stained glass. Fuga became known for his creativity within the medium of stained glass, and often employing both glass rods and acid-etching to achieve new effects in his windows.
