Jean George Theobald (1873–1952), born in Newark, New Jersey, lived in Attleboro, Massachusetts by 1900, and was listed in the 1910 federal census as a “jewelry designer.” He worked as a staff designer for the International Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut, and its subsidiary the Wilcox Silver Plate Company in the mid- to late-1920s.
