Concept Art, Cadillac Range with Radiator Butte, Cars, 2006

While on a research road trip for Cars along Route 66, artist Bill Cone discovered an art installation called Cadillac Ranch—a series of old Cadillacs buried nose down, with the tail end jutting out from the ground. This tailfin silhouette inspired the design of the mountain peaks ultimately dubbed Cadillac Range in film.
