Drawing, Design for Acanthus Rinceaux with Animals and Birds

This is a drawing. It was workshop of Giulio Romano. It is dated 1524–46 and we acquired it in 1911. Its medium is pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash, white gouache; scale in graphite added on each side; curving stroke (of a letter?) in pen and brown ink cut off on lower center of sheet. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This object was donated by Advisory Council. It is credited Purchased for the Museum by the Advisory Council.
