A young girl, who is the Virgin, is walking up a flight of stairs at a Temple. Directly behind the Virgin, can be seen the raised arm of a man. At the bottom of the stairs, next to the wall can be seen a basket of eggs and a seated woman. The woman is in partial view. At top of the stairs are a priest and several attendants waiting for tthe young Virgin. Above the priest and several attendants, there is man at his window looking onto the activity taking place below him. Next to the window can be seen a partial view of a statue. At the lower right hand corner can be seen a coat of arms with a rampant lion in the center on an escutcheon followed by a six line dedication signed: 'J.B. Jackson'.
