Product Design and Decorative ArtsCooper-Hewitt's department of Product Design and Decorative Arts contains approximately 40,000 three-dimensional decorative art and design objects dating from antiquity to the twenty-first century, including ceramics, furniture, metalwork, lighting, glass, jewelry, architectural elements, and industrial design.
TextilesCooper-Hewitt's Textiles collection contains more than 30,000 pieces from antiquity to the present, representing the full spectrum of woven and non-woven techniques and a wide variety of printing and dyeing methods.
WallcoveringsCooper-Hewitt's Wallcoverings department contains the largest and most varied collection of wallpaper in the United States, with more than 10,000 examples tracing the transformation of the medium from hand-printed luxury product to mass-produced decor.
